Spain as Peace Maker

A few days ago I saw a piece on Facebook that congratulated Spain for standing tall for peace. Spain refused to let the US use our air bases in Spain for the Iranian war. It also thanked Spain “for its ongoing support for Palestinians amid Israel's genocide.”.

I am confused. Spain standing up for peace? What kind of antisemitic nonsense is this? Spain takes a back seat while the US, Israel and NATO stand up to the real threat of Iran and radical Islam. Ever since WWII, Spain has chosen to let others do the work. Initially they asked the Nazis to help them defeat a popular uprising. Ever since then they have been an authoritative and pro Muslim voice in world politics.

And please explain to me how Israel is committing genocide. You have no idea what genocide is. Please review the Holocaust where millions of Jews were murdered, not because they were in a war with Germany but rather because a madman simply wanted to eliminate Jews from Europe. That was genocide. To compare Israel's war with Hamas and Iran to genocide is a simpleton's attempt to signal virtue. Ever since the United Nations granted statehood to Israel in 1948, that tiny piece of land on the Mediterranean shore has been subject to repeated attempts at destruction. In the beginning the Muslim states of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen and Iran mounted massive attacks on Israel in order to kill jews and eliminate Israel. This was genocide.

On October 7, 2023, Israel had enough, After a large and coordinated surprise attack by Hamas on Israel - Israel's 9/11 - that tiny state finally fought back in a defensive war. The US, after 47 years and five useless presidential attempts at appeasement, joined the battle against Iran. We will continue to defend our NATO friend Spain while they sit back in a Woke armchair and signal virtue.
